Position Summary
The Maintenance Compliance Lead is responsible for ensuring that investigations and tasks assigned are completed in an objective, professional and timely manner in accordance with the SMS Manual. The Maintenance Compliance Lead will work unbiasedly as required with all departments to complete assigned investigations. Additionally, this position will ensure that QC (Quality Control) checks as assigned are completed unbiasedly and within their respective due dates, as outlined in the applicable schedule.
This is a permanent full-time position located in Winnipeg, Manitoba (YWG)

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Complete assigned work within associated timelines.
- Perform audits of company manuals/procedures as required.
- Responsible for conducting and documenting assigned audits, QC or investigations and providing detailed reports of findings/observations to management.
- Demonstrate a friendly working relationship with other company departments.
- Demonstrate cooperative attitude while working on all job tasks and assist others.
- Chair program-related meetings and safety committee level meetings as required.
- Create and amend programs, policies and procedures as required.
- Work with Compliance department to develop and continually improve program associated training.
- Perform accident and incident investigations at the discretion of manager.
- Understand current legislation, codes of practice, bulletins and other safe work practices and recommendations.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Proficient, hands-on experience with computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases.
- Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training.
- Able to qualify for RAIC/Winnipeg Airport Authority Ramp Pass (WAA).
- Knowledge of Aviation/Airline products and services is considered an asset.
- Previous experience as an AME or AME apprentice is considered an asset
Working Conditions
- Physical ability to perform all listed job duties.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
- Most work performed in an office environment; contact with staff and the public.
- Work indoors and outdoors (all weather conditions).
- Safety equipment will be required. Hearing protection and safety vests will be provided as needed.
- Must be able to travel aboard aircraft.
