Corporate Social Responsibility
Perimeter is committed to the community and customers it serves. Currently we have focus on three key initiatives that we are proud and dedicated to promote and foster for ongoing growth and development.
Stay In School
Perimeter is committed to youth in the communities we serve which has allowed us to create multiple Stay in School Initiatives, including the Bill Wehrle Scholarship Program and our partnership with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The Bill Wehrle Scholarship Program honor’s the late Bill Wehrle as a pioneer in Manitoba aviation and was created to provide financial assistance and encouragement for First Nations students looking to join the world of aviation. As a reward to leaders and favourable school attendance, our partnership with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers allows children to embrace a one-of-a-kind VIP Experience. It consists of a private charter flight to and from Winnipeg, round-trip private transportation to the Bombers game, reserved section of seats at Investors Group Field, video board recognition, meals and snacks during the game, a meet-and-greet with Bomber players at the end of the game and merchandise souvenirs to remember their experience.
We recognize that mental health issues can be very prominent in some of the communities we serve, so we have joined forces with the Rob Nash prevention program. The Robb Nash Program engages young people through the power of music and words, encouraging them to make positive life choices and lead lives of significance and purpose. Everyone has a role and contribution to mental health awareness. Along with empowering parents, teachers and friends to recognize the warning signs of mental health issues and connecting with people and agencies who can provide help, a difference can be made.
Our company promotes and encourages healthy lifestyles choices for all its customers and employees. We now offer healthier choices of food services both in-flight and on-ground. We continue to offer a complimentary milk shipping program, and facilitate the Nutrition North program in an ongoing effort to provide healthy food at an economical price into the north.
We actively sponsor and encourage involvement in community activities such as annual fishing derbies and hockey tournaments
