Corporate Social Responsibility
Perimeter is committed to the community and customers it serves. Currently we have focus on three key initiatives that we are proud and dedicated to promote and foster for ongoing growth and development.
Stay In School
Perimeter is committed to the youth in the communities we serve and we have partnered with an accredited Stay in School program – Outside Looking In. Outside Looking In offers a high school accredited dance program that provides an opportunity to Indigenous youth and their communities to engage in long-term intensive education through dance.
Upon successful completion of the academic and attendance requirements of the program, youth get the opportunity to join other Indigenous youth from across Canada for two weeks in Toronto. This prepares them for an ultimate performance on stage, to showcase their talents and abilities in front of hundreds at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, Ontario.
We recognize that mental health issues can be very prominent in some of the communities we serve, so we have joined forces with the Rob Nash prevention program. The Robb Nash Program engages young people through the power of music and words, encouraging them to make positive life choices and lead lives of significance and purpose. Everyone has a role and contribution to mental health awareness. Along with empowering parents, teachers and friends to recognize the warning signs of mental health issues and connecting with people and agencies who can provide help, a difference can be made.
Our company promotes and encourages healthy lifestyles choices for all its customers and employees. We now offer healthier choices of food services both in-flight and on-ground. We continue to offer a complimentary milk shipping program, and facilitate the Nutrition North program in an ongoing effort to provide healthy food at an economical price into the north.
We actively sponsor and encourage involvement in community activities such as annual fishing derbies and hockey tournaments
