Spotlight: Aimee Mosionier

At Perimeter Aviation, some of our greatest assets are the people who meet our passengers with a smile, calm your travel worries, and ensure your journey starts off on the right foot. One of those people is Aimee, one of our dedicated Customer Service Agents.

On what inspired her aviation career, Aimee hints that her journey into aviation began through a personal connection. “My boyfriend actually started working for Perimeter first,” she recalls. “He told me they were looking for staff in the cargo office, so I applied.” In February 2013, Aimee joined the company and worked in cargo for two years before transitioning to the check-in counter. It was a shift that would define her career path and lead her into a role where she truly thrives.

Aimee’s passion for customer service runs deep. “I’ve worked in customer service since I was 16 years old; telemarketing, waitress, sales associate,” she recalls. But working in aviation brought a new kind of fulfillment.

When asked her favourite thing about her job, Aimee says,

My favourite thing about being a customer service agent for Perimeter are the regular customers that I see often. We always like to chat about how they’re doing and what they have been up to. They always brighten my day when I see them.

Over the years, Aimee has become a familiar face at the Thompson airport, offering both warmth and reliability. With 13 years at Perimeter under her belt, Aimee jokes, “It seems longer though, like I’m a part of the furniture.” Her long-standing service speaks to the connection she feels with her coworkers and the passengers she welcomes daily.

Aimee’s advice for anyone considering a career in customer service within the aviation world is,

Don’t take things to heart. Sometimes people are having a bad day and don’t mean to take it out on you. Unfortunately, you definitely can’t predict the weather which unfortunately causes disruptions; so you have to be flexible and adjust to the everyday situation as they come.

In an industry where no two days are the same, Aimee’s story proves that the real magic of aviation isn’t just in flying, it’s in the human connections made along the way. Great customer service goes beyond process, it’s about people.
