Medical Documents

Warrants

As part of the shift to digital processes with Indigenous Services Canada, paper warrants are being phased out at check-in. All medical travel must be arranged directly through the Nursing Station. This process ensures that all required travel authorizations are in place, including:

  • Patient authorization number
  • Treaty number
  • Escort’s name and authorization (if applicable)

Providing complete and accurate information is essential to avoid any disruptions to your travel plans and to ensure you can attend your important medical appointments.

Changes to Medical Travel Reservations
Please note that any changes to reservations made with a medical warrant can only be authorized by the Nursing Station. While Customer Service Agents are happy to assist by connecting you with the Nursing Station, they are unable to make changes directly to your booking.

Other Documents

If you experience a medical condition that might not be immediately apparent, it’s crucial to carry relevant medical documentation or letters when travelling. This ensures a smooth and understanding travel experience, allowing our team to readily provide you with the necessary assistance and accommodation.

Carrying documentation helps clarify any situations that may arise and ensures your needs are met promptly and with care. We recommend keeping this information easily accessible throughout your journey in your personal carry-on. The care of our passengers comes first as we tirelessly work to enhance our services

Program Travel

From time-to-time Perimeter Aviation and Bearskin Airlines facilitate special programming events. Some examples are the Perimeter VIP Stay-in-School Program, the Winnipeg Blue Bomber Truth and Reconciliation Game, and contests.

For minors travelling to program events, it’s essential to have a completed letter of consent and travel release form signed by their parent or guardian. Additionally, each minor must travel with a designated chaperone, documented, and approved in advance. Chaperones are subject to the ID requirements listed above. This ensures the safety and well-being of young travellers under our care, providing peace of mind for both parents and organizers.

Please make sure these documents are completed prior to travel by the date given or the youth, and possibly the entire group travel may be cancelled. The documents should also be readily available at check-in to facilitate a smooth travel process. Our commitment is to offer a secure and supportive travel experience for all our passengers, including youth.
